The parts that wear fastest on an e-moto are the ones that put the power down. We replace and set up chains, sprockets, belts, bearings, tyres and spokes, on Sur-Ron, Talaria and e-bikes.

Signs it is due
- A dry, noisy or stretched chain, or hooked, shark-finned sprocket teeth
- Chain that won't hold adjustment
- Belt noise, slip or visible cracking on a Sur-Ron
- Whine or roughness from the jackshaft area
- Play or a gritty feel in the wheel bearings
- Loose spokes, a wobbling rim, or repeated punctures
How we do it
Chain and sprocket jobs finish with alignment and tension set and a test ride. A new chain on worn sprockets wears out quickly, so we measure wear and tell you honestly.
A Sur-Ron primary belt replacement includes tensioning it and inspecting the pulleys and jackshaft bearings.
Wheel jobs include correct tyre and bead seating, pressures set, chain tension and alignment on the rear, and a brake check.

Prices
Labour prices; parts extra unless stated. All work quoted and approved before we start. Workmanship guaranteed for 3 months.
We don't derestrict road-legal e-bikes. We only work on EAPC e-bikes to UK rules (250 W, 15.5 mph) and will not derestrict road e-bikes or road-registered e-motos. Performance upgrades are for off-road bikes used on private land only, with a signed waiver.
Questions we get asked
Is the chain or belt included in the price?
No. The listed price is labour, and the chain, sprockets, belt or bearings are extra. Ask for a parts price when you book and you will get it in the written estimate.
Should I change the chain and sprockets together?
Usually yes. A new chain on worn sprockets wears out quickly, which is why the chain and sprocket set job is the popular one, especially when you are also changing the gearing.
Can you fit tyres I have already bought?
Yes. The fitting price is labour only, and the tyre and tube are extra.
What if my wheel has a cracked rim or seized spokes?
That is quoted separately after we have looked at it. A spoke tension check and minor true is £39 for Sur-Ron and Talaria wheels.
