Stop on demand. Ride on a bike that works.

Brakes and suspension are the two things you notice first when they are tired. We service both to the manufacturer's spec, on e-motos and e-bikes, at fixed labour prices.

Signs they need attention
  • Spongy or long lever travel, or a lever that pulls to the bar
  • Squealing, grinding or pads worn to the backing plate
  • Brakes that fade or drag
  • Oil on a fork leg or around a seal
  • A fork or shock that feels harsh, wallows or bottoms out
  • Clunks or play at the headset
How we work on them

Brake bleeds use fresh fluid to the manufacturer's spec (mineral oil or DOT, depending on the bike), with the air removed, the lever feel restored and the brake tested.

Pad fits include cleaning the caliper, checking the pistons and bedding the pads in.

Fork services mean fresh oil and new oil and dust seals. Rear shock rebuilds and revalving go to our suspension specialist, and we remove, refit and set the bike up for your weight.

Prices

Labour prices; parts extra unless stated. All work quoted and approved before we start. Workmanship guaranteed for 3 months.

We don't derestrict road-legal e-bikes. We only work on EAPC e-bikes to UK rules (250 W, 15.5 mph) and will not derestrict road e-bikes or road-registered e-motos. Performance upgrades are for off-road bikes used on private land only, with a signed waiver.

Questions we get asked

How do I know if my brakes need bleeding?

A soft or inconsistent lever, or one that has got worse over a few rides, usually means air or old fluid. If the lever is hard but the bike won't stop, it is more often pads or contaminated discs.

Are brake pads included in the fitting price?

No. The fitting price is labour only, and pads are extra. Bleeds include the fluid.

Can you rebuild or revalve my rear shock?

We remove the shock and send it to our suspension specialist for rebuild or revalve, then refit it and set it up for your weight. The price is £59 for the remove and refit plus the specialist's cost.

Can you fit upgraded forks or a different shock?

Yes. An upgrade fork or shock swap is £65 each. Parts are extra, and for off-road bikes we ask for a signed waiver where upgrades change the bike's performance.
